penny meadmore design has been creating garden designs for clients across the country since 1999. During that time work has been commissioned by UKTV for the BSkyB Roof Garden, by Zenith Entertainment for the television series ‘Garden Rivals’ and by the Trustees of Lincolnshire’s Evan Cornish Hospice for a design of public gardens and private terraces as part of this multi-million pound development.

Every new project is different but the design process always begins by talking to a client about their hopes for the garden, as well as their practical needs, in relation to its real potential. Sketch plans are then used to illustrate ways in which the space might be developed before final plans and planting schemes are drawn up. Although plots may differ design principals remain the same. Plans are based on bold ground patterns which mean that even in the depths of winter the garden has a strong backbone of shape and this is complimented by generous planting to supply year-round colour, texture and interest.
